Open Programs - these programs are open to MHH clients, volunteers and interested community members at our Community Hospice location on highway #89.

Requirements to be completed the day of the program.

  • You will be asked to complete a one page basic contact information form.
  • An emergency contact form.
  • A confidentiality form. 
  • Contact a case manager prior to the program for more information and complete the required registration forms.

Meditation and Mindfulness:  This is an 8 week program which can be started at any session and can be taken more that once.  The program is designed to promote relaxation and a sense of well being. Dr. Randy Knipping holds these sessions at our community hospice on highway #89, Mondays- from 6 pm- 9 pm. 

Meditation (Friday): Join us on Friday afternoons from 1-2:30 p.m. for 8 weeks with our volunteer facilitator Eryn for a chance to experience meditation in a supportive way that will allow you to focus on yourself and your breath. Registration is required.

Wellness Drum Circle:  Drumming encourages relaxation and mindfulness, come and enjoy some social time! Join us on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday evening from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m., WITH JANE HAYWARD. Instruments will be provided and families are welcome!

Caregiving 101:  A 6-week course focused on a proactive approach to navigating illness. Participants will learn more about community resources, self-care techniques and topics such as anticipatory grief.

Chronic Disease Self- Management Program:  A 6-week program that helps adults with chronic health conditions and their caregivers to manage pain, fatigue, healthy eating, physical fitness, deal with difficult emotions and depression management to better manager their symptoms and their daily life.

Men's Group:  Held the first and third Tuesday of the month.  This gives men the opportunity to share and interact with other men. This group is facilitated by men.

Feel Good Fridays: This a place for anyone to come to do crafts, puzzles or just to enjoy the company of others from 10 am - 12 noon.

Playing with Colours:  Join this informal group with our volunteer artist guides tohelp you to discover a passion for art that you never knew you had!  Experience and talent are absolutely not required.

Learning Seminars: These are held the third Thursday of every month at 1:00 p.m. or 1:30 p.m..  We have quest speakers that share very important information, such as medication management, fall prevention, preventative measures for illness, art therapy, planning for your future.
