Open Programs - these programs are open to MHH clients, volunteers and interested community members at our Residential and Community Hospice location at 131 Wellington Street East.

Requirements to be completed the day of the program.

  • You will be asked to complete a one page basic contact information form.

  • An emergency contact form.

  • A confidentiality form.

  • Contact a case manager prior to the program for more information and complete the required registration forms.

Come Sing Along: Share the joy of music! Come sing some of your favourites from the 50’s and onward. Instruments welcome.

Feel Good Fridays: This a time for anyone to come to do crafts, puzzles or just enjoy the company of others from 10 am - 12 noon.

Learning Seminars: These are held the third Thursday of every month at 1:00 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. We have guest speakers that share important information, such as medication management, fall prevention, preventative measures for illness, art therapy, planning for your future.

Meditation: Join our volunteer facilitator for a chance to experience meditation in a supportive way that will allow you to focus on yourself and your breath.

Playing with Colours:  Come explore as our volunteer volunteer artist guides you to help discover a passion for art that you never knew you had! Experience is absolutely not required.

Time Out Care Aware: Offered six times a year on the first Tuesday of the month, from 10:30 - noon (check monthly schedule). Spa time for the soul! Time Out is designed to support clients and volunteers with a practice of self compassion. With stretching, relevant readings and guided meditation we refine our mind body spirit awareness, healing gifts for self and others!

Wellness Drawing:  Come and experience the therapeutic and relaxing qualities of learning to draw with charcoal & graphite. Draw wildlife, flowers, architecture or people. No experience needed! Weekly.

Wellness Drum Circle:  Drumming encourages relaxation and mindfulness.  Come and enjoy some social time! Join us on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday afternoon from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Instruments will be provided and families are welcome!
