Bereavement

One on One Support

Sometimes you need a person to walk along side you while you face the many emotions of your bereavement. We provide 0ne to one support to people needing help to work through their grief.

Group Support

The Group  will meet each week for 8 weeks to share tools for healing and come to terms with grief by meeting with others who have experienced similar losses. Some time is devoted to sharing feelings while other sessions include more practical topics. Several of these groups will be scheduled each year. A staff social worker with bereavement training is responsible for this group, assisted by a specially trained volunteer.

H.U.G.S.

Helping Understand Grief Sessions

We are now offering this outstanding program for grieving children. H.U.G.S. was designed to encourage young children to express themselves and work through the numerous emotions that accompany the grieving process. H.U.G.S. uses play therapy, art therapy, music, dance, poetry, and various objects to express oneself. The sessions can run consecutively or used as stand-alone sessions. Each session is outlined and contains clear step-by-step instructions for the crafts. The sessions are for children from Senior Kindergarten to teenagers.
